DAY 1: ARRIVAL ENTEBBE

Welcome to Uganda! Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport and finalising the formalities, our friendly guide will be there to welcome you and drive you to your hotel.

DAY 2: VISIT ZIWA RHINO SANCTUARY, DRIVE TO CHOBE

After breakfast, make your way to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you will enjoy a walking safari to encounter the white rhinos that have been successfully reintroduced in Uganda. Afterwards, proceed to Chobe for a relaxing overnight stay.

DAY 3: DRIVE TO KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK, GAME DRIVE

Today, journey to Kidepo Valley National Park, situated in rugged, semi-arid valleys 700 km from Kampala, along Uganda's borders with Sudan and Kenya. Established in 1962, the park boasts more than 77 mammal species and in excess of 475 bird species, making it Uganda's most isolated yet magnificent national park. Arrive at your accommodation for lunch and relaxation before an evening game drive to explore the park's rich wildlife.

DAY 4: KIDEPO GAME DRIVE, COMMUNITY VISIT

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive through the Narus Valley, followed by a nature walk and an exciting game drive in the pristine surroundings of Kidepo National Park. The park's expansive savannah landscapes host diverse wildlife, including elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffalos, and Jackson's hartebeests, along with predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs. In the afternoon, engage with the Karamajong community, gaining insights into their unique way of life and traditions, offering a genuine appreciation of their enduring cultural pride in the face of modern influences.

After breakfast, head to Murchison Falls National Park, renowned for its breathtaking waterfall where the Victoria Nile River flows through a narrow gap. The park, located on the shores of Lake Albert, boasts diverse wildlife, including elephants, hippos, and chimpanzees in the Kaniyo Pabidi mahogany forest, along with the rare shoebill stork in the Lake Albert Delta.

DAY 6: MURCHISON FALLS GAME DRIVE AND CRUISE ON THE NILE

After an early breakfast, embark on a game drive across the African savannah, palm forest, and grasslands to Lake Albert, offering opportunities to spot various wildlife and bird species, including lions, elephants, and eagles. In the afternoon, enjoy a private cruise up the Nile to Murchison Falls, followed by a hike to the impressive falls with a chance to observe Nile crocodiles below.

DAY 7: FLY TO KASESE AND DRIVE TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK

Today, you will fly from Murchison Falls National Park to Kasese Airstrip. Upon arrival, your guide will drive you to Kibale National Park, passing through scenic tea plantations.

DAY 8: CHIMPANZEE TREKKING, BIGODI SWAMP WALK

Today, track the famous inhabitants of Kibale Forest National Park – the chimpanzees - with more than 1,450 individuals protected in the park. Home to the largest number of endangered chimpanzees in Uganda, the forest also harbours threatened red colobus and rare L’Hoest’s monkeys, contributing to one of the highest primate diversities in Africa. In the afternoon, consider a guided walk through the swamps of Bigodi, relax at your accommodation or explore the nearby village and community.

In the evening, embark on a game drive to spot the iconic tree-climbing lions, unique to this region, and enjoy a sundowner while watching the sunset over the expansive savannah landscape.

DAY 10: GAME DRIVE IN ISHASHA, DRIVE TO BWINDI NATIONAL PARK 

In the morning, depart for Bwindi National Park with a chance to spot tree-climbing lions during a game drive in Ishasha Sector. After lunch, continue to the renowned home of mountain gorillas, which also serves as a refuge for elephants, chimpanzees, monkeys, small antelopes, and 23 bird species restricted to the Albertine region.

DAY 11: GORILLA TREKKING

Early in the morning, embark on the thrilling experience of trekking mountain gorillas, one of the most exciting wildlife adventures. Lasting from two to six hours, the guided journey by an experienced ranger offers remarkable rewards and fascinating insights into the flora, fauna, and captivating lifestyle of these incredible gorillas.

DAY 12: FLY BACK TO ENTEBBE AND DEPART

After breakfast, you will drive to Kihihi Airstrip and fly back to Entebbe enjoying the beautiful aerial view of southwestern Uganda, the hills and thick vegetation as well as the farming practiced by the locals. Upon reaching Entebbe, you will connect to your return flight home.

DAY 9: DRIVE TO ISHASHA SECTOR, QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

After an early breakfast, drive to Ishasha in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park, renowned for its scenic landscapes and diverse habitats. In the evening, embark on a game drive to spot the iconic tree-climbing lions, unique to this region, and enjoy a sundowner while watching the sunset over the expansive savannah landscape.
